Day 6 Update

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. . . we're not sure when we're getting out. It all depends on today's chest x-ray and echo. The x-ray has already been done and the echo is scheduled for 2 pm. Hopefully it won't be long after that they will let us know what is going on.

Brayden is feeling good. We took him to the toddler room for a little play time this morning, and he had fun. He crawled around a little bit and pulled to standing twice. He just seems to be a little hesitant and a little low on energy (all this laying around has probably zapped him!!). I just gave him a bird bath and washed out his hair -- he loves having his hair washed and brushed, so he liked that very much. Right now he's taking a nap (sorry echo lab, I know I am supposed to keep him up but he's tired and hungry, so I'm not going to fight him!!).

Here are some pics from this morning -- Brayden Boy has not lost his sense of humor!!

Choices, choices -- what's a boy to do???

You've got to get creative!!!

Now I'm sure you understand why I wanted to wash his hair :)

Ahhh -- so refreshed!!!

Here are some pics of some of the IV attempt sites. There are others, but these are the ones that bother Brayden the most. He keeps looking at his wrists and hands. He even makes a mean face and pokes at them with his fingers. . . poor boy!!!

Well, we got called to the echo lab right before I posted this. We spent over 2.5 hours there!!! We haven't heard anything about the chest x-ray or about going home, so I'm guessing that means we're not going home today :(

Oh my - just looking at those pokes made me upset - I know his mommy was furious about those! Praying for good reports and going home papers tomorrow. Boy, does he look refreshed or what after that bird bath and hair washing!

I had to laugh at him and his many pacifiers.... and then the two in his mouth ~ so cute! My oldest son liked the pic of him sleeping after his bath. He said he had handsome hair :).

I did not, however, like the look of those poor little wrists :(. What a shame that they poked him enough to do that. Hang in there ~ you'll be home soon. Continuing to pray for another good night .... and hopefully home tomorrow.

This is mailman from Fourmile. Just wanted to say thank God all is going good. Tell Granny that I have been keeping up through Barb. Wish one of us could have done it for him. We probably wouldn't have handled it as well. Thinking of you all and praying for a speedy recovery. If you need any more blood, I'm O+. Let us know how you all are doing.

So glad you are close to getting sprung!!! 7 days!!! yea, go Brayden! I am so sorry they tried to use your son as a pin cushion and that it took so long for them to listen to you. What do you know right, you are only his mom and give him his meds everyday . Many prayers being sent your way...

Him and his pacifiers! He always has a back-up pacifiers ready! I think that he deserves as many pacifiers as he wants after all that he has been through:)
