ZZZZ -- Day 1, dreaming of ripping that tube out. . .
ZZZZZZZ -- Day 2, the tube is gone, so I can really get some rest. . . Notice that my A-line is now in my arm. Boy, was that a rough deal!!!
7:50 update - They took his A-line out and expect to get the chest tubes out early tomorrow. Brayden soaked down 8 oz of soy milk at around 5 pm, and then rested better than ever. He woke up for a little while, and enjoyed listening to and looking at his favorite book. Then he signed that he was ready to sleep and zonked back out. Right now, he's sleeping like a log. Hopefully, he will rest up tonight, impress them at morning rounds, and move on to Stepdown tomorrow!!!

Wow, Krystal, he looks really good. I'm sure with a full belly and some of those tubes out (his breathing tube and the A line) he'll get some much needed sleep...and that, in turn, will help him heal. Don't forget to take care of yourselves during this .... try to rest when he's resting, so you'll be there and ready when he's awake :)! I'll continue to pray for his recovery, that it will keep on going well and he'll impress everyone at rounds tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your pictures and I look forward to your next update.
I'm so glad to hear from you guys and see the pictures of Brayden - he looks wonderful by the way. As Tracy wrote - don't forget to take care of yourselves! Evan is drawing get well cards for Brayden - might have to get your mailing address and send them to you : ) He's My Son came on the radio on the way home for work today and my thoughts immediately went to you all - so glad things are going so well.
So glad that Brayden is doing good. He looks really good for everything that he has been through. He is a tough little guy.
Brayden looks great. I am so glad he has made so much progress. Crossing my fingers and hoping for step down. Try to get some rest.
