UK Jersey Day

The UK Basketball drama has actually spurred me into posting action -- ha ha! My mom sent some jerseys down to the boys, and they thought they were just about the coolest things ever! Here are some pics of what we did on UK jersey day --

On 2 different days while we were driving, we had a great view of Pacaya (the active one) spitting ash and smoke. Silly me, I did not get a picture of it.

Potty Time!

We've been talking about the potty and sitting (without result) on the potty for many months -- but finally, it seems like the kiddos get it :) This week, we have been having "diaper free" periods of time during the evening, and we have been having lots of successes! I am so proud of my babies! Hopefully we will be able to extend to longer "diaper free" times this weekend!

This evening they got lemonade as a treat when they had a success. They liked it so much, they both wanted to go right back and try again :)

Dear Gerson,

You are 6 years old today! You are such a sweetheart, and I am so proud of you. You are an amazing boy and a terrific big brother. You love to laugh and have a high-pitched giggle :) You are so handsome that it is down right dangerous. And you are the most ham-loving person that I have ever seen!

I hope that you know how precious you are and how special you are to me. I hope that you know that you deserve the happiest, best life that this world can offer. And most of all, I hope that you know that you are loved and never forgotten. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and I am so glad that God allows me to know you and love you. I love you all the way, all the time, no matter what.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

We did not get any resolution today. We will have another hearing in May.

Hearing on Wednesday

This Wednesday at 9am (11am EST), we have a court hearing for Gerson and Elviz. Needless to say, this hearing is very important. The judge will decide whether or not our adoption can continue.

Please pray for that everyone involved on Wednesday will have a deep compassion for Gerson and Elviz, and that every decision that is made will be based on the best interest of these precious boys.

Please pray that God guides each person in the courtroom with a strong hand so that there is no doubt where Gerson and Elviz belong. Please pray that this guidance is so clear that no one will doubt the final decision of the judge.

Please pray that God will filter Gerson´s and Elviz´s ears during the hearing and that they will not hear anything negative. This is weighing so heavily on my heart -- I do NOT want these boys to experience any more emotional trauma during this hearing. There is not doubt that there will be a lot of negativity, so please pray that my boys do not hear any of it.

Thank you so much for joining us in prayer. We love these boys completely, and we want them to be safe, protected, happy, and healthy. They deserve to find their home.

Happy Birthday Jor-Jor!

I cannot believe that Jor-Jor is TEN YEARS OLD!!!! Well, she's been grown up for a long time now, so I guess it's not that hard to believe. Still, she was my first baby (at least I felt like she was mine!), so it is hard to accept that she isn't a baby anymore!

Normally, I would not be willing to embarrass myself like this, but I think Mynor is extremely cute when he is working on his ABCs. Plus, it is hilarious that Parker G thinks she is totally singing the song at the beginning! You know I must love my babies to be willing to post a video of myself looking (sounding) like an idiot -- go ahead and laugh!
