My Little Mean Bean

Over the past couple of weeks, Parker G (my little AngelBaby) has earned a new nickname -- Mean Bean. The girl has turned into quite the rascal! Her favorite activites include climbing stairs, hitting the TV, stealing her brother's juice, and speed crawling away from her parents when she realizes that she is busted. Of course, she giggles the whole time that she is doing these things :) Here are a few pics of my little Mean Bean --
Looking back at Momma b/c she knows she is not supposed to go into this tunnel. It is Brayden's tunnel, and *every* time that she goes in there, she ends up crying! He either crawls on top of her, or she tries to go through one of the sides.

Playing all sweet and innocent with brother . . .

Until he takes his eye off the breadstick!

Climbing stairs at super speed!

In the tunnel AGAIN

Here is what I get when I try to take a pic of the kiddos together -- Do you see her pulling his hair????

What? Me? No way, I'm a little angel -remember?

FFF #19 - Boys will be Boys

Boys will be boys. Yes, I know this, but as a person who generally hates "outside" (sun, plants, insects, etc.), I will not always enjoy all of the things that my boys do! Gerson and Elviz dug up seeds and roots and spiderwebs and all kinds of things while they were playing outside. Jenn, being the oh-so-helpful gal that she is, pointed out a pile of rocks to the boys. So, they dug and dug and dug. They came running to me, talking a mile a minute . . . obviously forgetting that our communication is limited to a teeny tiny vocabulary of Spanish. I told them I didn't understand, but they just kept talking. So, I looked at Sara (quite the genius translator for an 8-year old!). . . before I could even ask, she looked at me and said, "Animales." Yes, boys will be boys, and this momma better start working on her love of nature. . .

Music I Love Today

I Saw What I Saw
Lyrics by Sara Groves

I saw what I saw and I can't forget it
I heard what I heard and I can't go back
I know what I know and I can't deny it

Something on the road, cut me to the soul

Your pain has changed me
your dream inspires
your face a memory
your hope a fire
your courage asks me what I'm afraid of
(what I am made of)
and what I know of love

we've done what we've done and we can't erase it
we are what we are and it's more than enough
we have what we have but it's no substitution

Something on the road, touched my very soul

I say what I say with no hesitation
I have what I have and I'm giving it up
I do what I do with deep conviction

Something on the road, changed my world

Christmas Cheer in January :)

We wish you a Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas

And a Happy New Year!!!!

Why I love January 23

2 years ago today, Brayden's case got out of PGN. I know that every family feels a huge sense of relief when they get out of PGN, but I cannot explain how much it meant to us. Getting out meant that he was coming home, and coming home meant that he would not be having surgery in Guatemala. UNICAR wanted to schedule surgery before he was 6 months old. We got out of PGN when he was 5 months and 1 day old. I love January 23 :)

Bling Makes Everything Better

Dear Jor Jor,

Thank you for blinging my ba-ba. I thought there was no way that I could possibly love my ba-ba any more, but you are right . . . Bling makes everything better.

Love,
Parker G

Brrrrrrr - It's Cold Out There!

I love cold weather. . . but I can assure you that my littlest babies do not! They do not like getting all bundled up, but they sure do look cute :)

Thank you Aunt Kathy for our hats and gloves. They keep us so warm!

(Yes, don't worry, I put a blanket over Parker's legs!!! AND I told Michael to put her in taller socks from now on!)

PG is 10 Months Old!

Well, I actually missed the date b/c I was in Guatemala visiting your brothers, BabyAngel -- but I can always back date!!!!
Parker Gabrielle, you are oh-so-pretty at 10 months old. You are a happy, smiley, sweet baby girl, and I tell your Daddy all the time that you are "everything a baby should be". You have 7 sharp teeth, you are dangerously close to walking, and you love to steal your brother's sippy cup! You love to eat, and you love to giggle. Parker, you bring us smiles and laughter, and you light up our lives. I love you all the way, my little Angel :)
