For my friends?

Yes, our case is still stuck. Please continue to pray it "unstuck". ***BUT*** this week, I really want you to please, please, please focus on the cases of 3 of my friends. I want to see all 3 of these cases OUT of PGN this week!!!!! These cases have been tough ones. . . but every time I hear from these families, I am amazed by their attitudes. They don't get wrapped up in anger or frustration, instead they continue to look forward with hope and faith. They are just the kind of families that these precious little kiddos deserve!!!! So, please send lots of prayers, good wishes, and love to these children and their families -- I am so hopeful that they will get good news this coming week.

Happy Easter Weekend, everyone! I hope that you enjoy this very special time and have a chance to reflect on the Glory of the Resurrection.

Pink, Baby, Pink!!!!

The date is set, and sweet Sara is coming home!!!!

I am overjoyed and thrilled beyond words that sweet Sara is coming home! I cannot wait to see see her with her family! What a celebration it will be when all 4 Hanks children are TOGETHER!!!!

However, I want to make one thing perfectly clear. This child will be sorely missed at the hogar. Sara takes care of the other children. She loves them and watches out for them. This isn't the kind of responsibility that we would want to place on Sara's shoulders, but it is the sense of responsibility that she has taken on all on her own -- and the other children benefit so much. I (and several other Mommas) have been comforted by the fact that our children are loved by such a precious little soul. She is a sweetheart, plain and simple. We do NOT want Sara to spend one second longer away from her family, but I know that it will be very hard for my boys (Little Elviz especially) to say goodbye to their dear friend Sara, and my heart hurts for them to have to endure another goodbye. . . I can only hope that it won't be long before they will see each other here at home!

Sara, you are a very special girl! You are a friend and a big sister to so many others, and we thank you for that. We are so happy that you are coming home to join your family. They love you so much! So pack your backpack up, get your little little lamb, and come on home to KY :)

Parker's 1st Birthday

We had a little celebration for Parker's birthday. Our pretty baby girl had fun, and she really enjoyed the cake!!!

Early in March, we finally got a little snow on the ground, so Brayden Mynor got to enjoy his first play day in the snow.

Cousin Tia is an animal lover. I think the main reason that she comes to our house is so that she can play with Lillith. I have said for a long, long time that no one needed a dog as much as that little girl :) Apparently, my Dad agreed with me. About a month ago, he brought home a sweet little puppy for Tia! This puppy is oh-so-cute and such a good little girl (other than when she has a straight shot at Parker G). She is just the perfect puppy for Tia, and right from the start she followed Tia's every footstep :)


It took a while for Tia to settle on one name for her puppy, but I think we are pretty sure that it is Co-Co. I need to get some updated pictures since she has changed a bit, but here is Tia's fuzzy little puppy --

Today our Jor turned 9 years old! Oh, dear, she is growing up so fast!!! Of course, she already acts like she's 19, so I guess it's not that hard to believe . . .

Poor Little Angel :(

Poor little AngelBaby is so sick tonight! Ironically, I took Brayden to the dr on Friday to get some medicine to help him get over his sickness and by the time I got home from work that evening, PG was sick. She has progressively gotten worse, and today that poor little baby has felt so bad :( Coughing, running nose, congestion, and vomiting. . . red checks, but no fever so far. Looks like we are headed back to the dr tomorrow morning!

So Where is Your Case???

I've been getting this question a lot lately -- unfortunately, I do not have a good answer. Our case is stuck. I don't know why, but PGN is holding it. We've been in for about 18 weeks now. They aren't kicking it out, they aren't approving it . . . it's just stuck. Waiting is always hard, but this waiting without any understanding of what we are waiting for or why - well, it is getting really, really hard!

So, I am asking you friends (and strangers), to please pray for our case.
Pray it unstuck.
